autoresponders and triggers

Email triggers allow you to instantly communicate a timely and relevant messages to each of your prospects and clients and is generated based on a significant change or event in a customer behavior or profile. The idea behind trigger-based strategies is this: rather than delivering to a group of people at once, it sends instantly whenever one of your individuals does something – like subscribe to get your emails, or having special occasion like birthday, tips and tricks emails or reminders from your site. It allow you to get to the people when they are most likely to read and react – on their schedule, not yours.
Basically triggers are “event” based and autoresponders are “time” based. To better understand the difference between auto responders and triggers let me describe what autoresponders do. While conventional automated emails (autoresponders) adhere to newsletter sign-ups and orders, trigger sends emails for other activities such as particular search patterns, special occasions like customer birthday, vacations, or related products.

Autoresponder statistics
Types of Autoresponders:
Desktop-hosted Autoresponder – If you want an auto responder that you can use without starting web-browser, desktop-hosted can be your best option. It’s rather simple to set up. However, you must have some technical knowledge to use it. On the negative side, it needs your pc to be online 24/7. Not just any online access but a very efficient one. If you are using dial-up or 56K relationship, a desktop-hosted autoresponder will not be practical. Usually, I did not recommend it.
Self-hosted Autoresponder – Contrary to desktop-hosted, a self-hosted autoresponder is web-based and includes a program for server setup. It’s a script that you would set up on one of your domains. Then you can deliver your automated emails from that domain.
Depending on your preferred auto responder program, you may or may not have to pay for the program setup. Some provide it free. Other need a fee.
Similar to desktop-hosted, this kind of auto responder needs primary program know-how. For example you may have to upgrade your program set up every time a new version is launched. If you are not familiar with scripting, you will can’t use this one.
The benefit of this autoresponder is that you usually do not have to pay continuous charges after the preliminary purchase. So in the long run it’s much less expensive than a hosted autoresponder.
Remotely-hosted Autoresponder – These are the most well-known kind of auto responder these days. If you search for an auto responder online, most of the outcomes you will get are remotely-hosted. This kind of auto responder is very simple to identify. If you find an auto responder assistance demanding a registration fee, you just found a remotely-hosted autoresponder.
Similar to locally-hosted, web setup is needed by this kind. Fortunately that it is set up on your assistance provider’s web site. So you do not have to fear about the technical part and all updates to the application will be sent to you instantly.

Trigger Statistics

Types of Trigger:
Simple/automatic e-mails – These include your welcome e-mails, purchase verification, and shipping delivery updates. A clear occasion happens like a purchase or a subscribe and your system quickly delivers out the email.
Reminder emails – Purchase reminder emails is another highly effective tool for retailers with replenishable products. If you are selling health/beauty, food/drug, outfits, office resources online or anything that needs reordering every x period of your time, reminds your customers it's time to buy more.
We haven't seen you in a while – These e-mails are designed to re-engage customers who haven't responded to you in a while. Test the waters with different re-engagement email campaigns and you will see that customers you thought would never return are again banging on your door.
Series e-mails (Drip Emails) – You have a set of trigger emails to deliver to customers once triggered by an event, but you don't want to deliver them all at once. You use series emails to space them out.
Reward program emails – Trigger emails can also be used to look at the number of transactions or the total spent and reward customers, just like restaurants do, with rewards and advantages based on their level. These email promotions are very effective when the offer is appropriate, innovative and surprising.
Using both autoresponders and triggers in your email campaign with right strategy will not also increase the performance of your campaign but it will also increase your sales. Only a handful of email providers provide both autoresponders and triggers including Alphasandesh.
